Project Process

Important Information Regarding Your  Home Improvement Project

The purpose of this page is to give you a better understanding of our replacement procedures from start to finish.  A similar letter will arrive at your home once your project is scheduled and it will state the date range for which your project will commence.

For All Replacement Procedures:

		For most replacement procedures, materials are delivered directly to your home prior to project commencement. We will call you the afternoon prior of any material delivery to your home. Please have your driveway clear, as we will need access to your home and roof.
			Roofing materials will be loaded onto the roof directly, unless conditions do not permit direct roof loading (steepness, power lines, and shake roofs).
			Siding materials and roofing materials (that cannot be roof loaded) will be placed in your driveway as close to the home as possible.
			Window and door materials will need to be stored inside, preferably a garage.
			If your home has limited space for materials, or you own a townhouse with reserved parking, please call to discuss placement of materials.
		Every effort will be made to complete your work in a timely manner. Please keep in mind that poor weather conditions will shift our schedule and may delay the start of your project. If the project takes more than one day to complete, Shiner Roofing, Siding and Windows will take all necessary precautions to ensure your home is sealed for the evening.
		You will receive a call the afternoon prior to work commencement. If we are doing multiple projects at your home, it may be necessary to schedule each project individually, or upon completion of another project.
		We will need access to electricity for our equipment. If there are no exterior outlets on your property, please inform us as soon as possible so we can make other arrangements.
		Please be aware that there will be some noise for the duration of your job.
		For roof replacement , please cover all items in your attic, as debris may fall through spaces in the wood, especially on plank roof decks. If you have a skylight, please cover the floor under the skylight to collect debris and dust.
		Satellite dishes will be temporarily removed and re-fastened as needed. This may cause interference with the signals. Shiner Roofing, Siding and Windows will not be responsible for any interference and your satellite technician may have to re­tune the dish after work is complete.
		Normal roofing operation causes vibration to the structure. Shiner Roofing, Siding and Windows is not responsible for nail pops or hairline cracks in the drywall due to vibration from roofing operations and wood replacement operations. In addition, please be sure to walk through the house and secure all fragile objects, as Shiner Roofing, Siding and Windows cannot be held responsible for these items.
		For window and door replacement, please remove all window treatments (shades, blinds, curtains) as well as any objects located on the window sills and ledges. Please also move any furniture below or in front of the windows to be replaced.
